58° North Photography offers a wedding and civil partnership photography service, covering the whole of the Western Isles and beyond.
I provide a bespoke service, tailored to each couple's needs and wishes, with natural and relaxed photography. Your photographs will include a mixture of candid documentary photography throughout the day, informal couple portraits and group shots, and detail shots. I aim to be as unobtrusive as possible, discreetly recording the interaction between you, your family and your friends, and capturing the story of your day.
I have a flexible and dynamic approach to my wedding photography. For most of the day, I use a candid documentary style of photography which means I aim to tell the story of your day by capturing the moments happening around you with as little interference as possible. My aim is to capture the natural interaction between you and your guests - the emotions, feelings and special moments. I work alone and use small and discrete, but extremely capable equipment, which helps me to blend in with your guests. This helps me capture photographs that I couldn't achieve with huge cameras and a team of assistants.
My documentary style approach means I don't spend hours taking lots of formal group photographs and posed couple shots. But I know that these can be important as well, especially to families that can't get together very often, so I work with all my couples before the big day to create a formal group shot list that we can get through as quickly and painlessly as possible, meaning you get to spend more time enjoying your day with your guests. We can also schedule in some quiet time, for some informal and relaxed shots of the two of you together.
The small details that have had so much thought put into them - the dresses, shoes, hair, makeup, rings, suits, flowers, cake, table settings, etc., are just as important, so I always spend time documenting these little details for you to look back on and remember.
If you like what you see and you would like to find out some further information or get a full, no obligation, quote, then I would love to hear from you.
