CUBA

The largest and perhaps most intriguing of the Caribbean islands, Cuba is where stunning scenery and a time-stood-still heritage collide. The vintage cars of Havana, pristine beaches and bustling tobacco factories make this an unforgettable and unique place. Known for its white-sand beaches, rolling mountains, cigars and rum, Cuba is a multiethnic country whose people, culture and customs derive from diverse origins. Its colourful capital, Havana, features well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture within its 16th-century core, Old Havana, loomed over by the pre-revolutionary Capitol.

I travelled to Cuba in December 2015, visiting Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos, El Nicho National Park, Trinidad and Jibacoa.
